How to Activate Microsoft Officer 2010 Offline

 

This trick is for those who have a legit copy of MS Office 2010 but due to frequent system crashes or other reasons they fear to reached the activation limits, and they don’t want to talk to a machine and get the phone activation. In case you don’t want to see following screens after installation of Office

Step.1 Enable ‘Show hidden files, folders, and driver’

2. Open the following folder and copy it

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform

save it somewhere safe. This folder contains your activation information for Office 2010.

3. Now Install Office. Copy this folder

4. Open C:\ProgramData\Microsoft    and paste this folder

5. Click on Copy and replace. Its better to reboot. Now open word, excel or anything, click on help and you will see that your product is activated.

How to Take Ownership of a file in Windows 7

 

There are times when you cant do with a file what you want to do. For example you want to rename, remove, replace or relocated a file but Windows 7 doesn’t allow you to do that because it thinks that it’s a system file and you might end up corrupting it thereby un stabilizing your system. Now here is how you can do this.

Warning : Registry edition is a serious business which might go wrong. Its always advisable to backup your registry first and then do anything with it.

1. Open Notepad and copy-paste the following :

save it as InstallTakeOwnership.reg file. When you double click on this you will see following standard warning message from microsoft

2. Click yes. It will give following message.

3. Its done. Now when you right click on any file you will see this entry

 

4. However if you find that it is making your system unstable or you encounter any problem, here is the solution to remove this registry entry.

Open Notepad and copy-paste the following

5.  Save it is ‘RemoveTakeOwnership.reg’. Double click on it, say yes to the warning message and you are done.

Many people are frustrated by the fact that they have to download different ISOs of Windows 7 to install/upgrade. But there is a simple solution. In fact only one ISO can be used to install any version of Windows 7. You need Windows 7 iso, one DVD and a program called Ultra ISO.

 

1. Make a copy of your .iso for safe keeping..

2. Open the .iso in ultraISO

3. Browse to the "sources" folder

4. Remove the file "ei.cfg". You don't have to know whats there in it, but if you do want to see then this is the snapshot of the file opened in Notepad.

5. Save the .iso

6. Burn it on DVD (Ultra ISO can do this or you can use isoburner or Nero etc)

7. Boot from this DVD and now when you install you will get a choice of home basic, home premium, business, or ultimate
