How to Import CONTACTS from gmail to Microsoft Outlook 2010

 

Yes, we have many contacts, and we do save them in out google account or yahoo account because then we can access them from anywhere and not only from out personal computer. But then we change our computer, or hardware or operating system say from XP or Vista to Windows 7. Now what? We have to install Office all over again. And now is the problem. Outlook will import all our messages from email accounts and we are as good as new but what about the contacts? How to import them without having to feed one by one ? No problem. Its easy as one two three…

1. Open your email account.

2. Click ‘Contact"’.

3. Click More actions. In the drop down menu select export.

4. Select ‘The group’ or ‘All contacts’ as per your choice.

5. in the same windows there is another windows. Choose second option, and click ‘Export’.

6. Save is anywhere on your computer. It will be an Excel file with the name ‘contacts’.

7. Now Open your Outlook 2010

Select the location where you have saved the exported contacts.

And lo. Now you have all the contacts imported in Outlook 2010.
