DOS Command for 'System Restore' in XP

All of us know how to use system restore. For the newborn here it is how:-

Start-All Programme-Accessories-System Tools-System Restore

The window will open and the you can select if you want to restore your system or want

to make a new system restore point. Choose restore system option. The calender opened

will have some highlighted dates and when you click on any of them, the right panel will

show the 'System Restore Point(s)' of that day. Choose any of them and click next. The

computer will reboot and restore your system to that point.

But sometime this option is not available due to virus attack or some other reasons.

In that case we can use the 'Run' command.

Start-Run- type -         %systemroot%\System32\restore\rstrui.exe

This will start the System Restore wizard as explain above.
