When you right click on My Computer icon and select Properties, then under General tab you see the name of the owner and name of the organisation. This is the same name which you have filled up during Windows XP installation. Now for whatever reason if you want to change the owner's name or organisation's name then follow these steps.
Its a registry hack, so its better that you back up your registry first.
1. Click Start-Run-type regedit and then click ok.
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version
3. Double click on Registered Owner and now you can change the existing name to any other name.
4. Double click on Registered Organisation and fill whatever name you want.
5. Close regedit.
6. Reboot.
Check now that owner's name and organisation's name has changed.
