How to Remove Arrow from Shortcuts on Desktop

Whenever you create any shortcut on the Desktop it will be associated with an arrow indicating that it’s a shortcut. For some people it can be annoying. To remove this arrow there is a simple registry heck.

Step 1. Back up your registry. (See my other posts on how to do it.)

Step 2. Open regedit and go to following entry

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTlnkfile

In this rename the IsShortcut registry value to AriochIsShortcut

Step.3 Reboot.

When the windows opens, you will not see any arrow on shortcuts.

Note :- lnkfile is LNKFILE
