How To Increase the Graphic Performance of XP

By default, WindowsXP turns on a lot of shadows, fades, slides etc to menu items. Most simply slow down their display.

To turn these off selectively:

Right click on the My Computer icon

Select PropertiesClick on the Advanced tab

Under Performance, click on the Settings buttonTo turn them all of,

select Adjust for best performance

My suggestion is to leave them all off except for Show shadows under mouse pointer and Show window contents while dragging

Another thing is Desktop theme and Wallpaper. They also use your precious resources.

If you have RAM less than 512 MB, then its better to turn these off.

If you seriously want to enjoy the Window XP in all its splender then I suggest,
you upgrade your RAM to atleast 1 GB and invest in a good graphic card.
